Description |
I'm moving to Georgia in a year and would like to become at least conversationa l in Georgian by then. I'm a motivated student and would like to meet regularly (weekly or bi-weekly, at least). I'm a student at Northwestern University and would have to work around my class schedule, but I am usually free on the weekend and have a flexible work schedule.

Description |
I have a desire to increase my knowledge of the Georgian language. I started studying Georgian almost three years ago and have a basic knowledge. While I was in Georgia for 5 weeks this past summer, I found I could understand some things, but was by no means fluent. I wish to increase my understanding of conversationa l Georgian. Without a teacher, it is very difficult to motivate myself to study. I am very interested in Georgian culture, and one of my greatest friends is Georgian. With this is mind, the next time I come for a visit, I wish to understand conversations and look less naive. I have studied alone for these past few years from different books (Georgian Language and Culture, etc.) Please help me to improve my proficiency! I feel the best way to learn a language is from practice and dedication, which I am willing to put forward as a student. I also know a little bit of Russian as well.
