I am seeking to learn Arabic and French for the purposes of career advancement as well as for personal growth. I have taken Arabic in the past, but it has been a while, so I would rate myself as a beginner, with need for improvement in all areas. I work full time, take online graduate courses, and have a family so my time is limited, but this is very important to me, so I will make the time. I currently speak English and Spanish (native languages), but really need an additional language. I need an instructor who not only knows the language but knows how to teach and instruct. I think I need a one-on-one or small group instruction, because I think I need to be pushed and challenged.

Well, the reason why i want to leanr standard arabic is that i am a muslim and my whole religion is based on the arabic language. I dont like to trust translators because their human beings and they might make a mistake. I would be find with translators if it was anything else. However this is my religion i cant afford to read thee wrong translation. Then i would fall into invovation and that's very serious.

Hello Madame or Sir,
I hope this email finds you well.
My name is Anna and I am interested in learning (Middle Eastern) colloquial Arabic - written and spoken, including grammer, but with a lot of emphasis on speaking. Generally, I would like to learn Arabic because I enjoy learning languages (I learned Italian fluently as an adult), have always enjoyed the beautiful sound of the Arabic language, would love to someday travel in the Middle East, and have very good, close friends that are from the Middle East-Syria and Lebanon specifically. In Arabic, I am an absolute beginner.
I am a professional, educated woman who works hard in a health sciences job, but would be a good student too. This summer, I would like to do rather intensive Arabic study, perhaps up to 3-4 hours per week of tutoring plus my time spent studying independently , as I have some time off. I have Skype and would prefer to learn using Skype. I will not waste your time. I am honest and likeable and would like a teacher who is also kind, patient and could offer lessons in the morning (my time).

I want to learn Arabic for many reasons. For one it is the major language of the region of my faith, and I am also hoping to attend graduate school at the American University of Beirut beginning in January. I have taught myself to be able to read and write the alphabet and some basic phrases, but that was almost 2 years ago, so I am now reviewing what I learned previously. I need improvement in all areas, I would consider myself a total beginner. I would like to commit a considerable amount of time with lessons, perhaps 3 or so 1 - 1.5 hour meetings a week, if my time and funds will allow it. In a teacher I am looking for someone who is patient, helpful, encouraging and brings a creative/inte ractive style to language learning.
