Hello!
I am learning this new language because I travel to Davao in the Philippines quite a bit to see my girlfriend and her parents. The family speak very little English and I want to put as much effort into learning so I am able to communicate with them. Also to speak to the locals in the area. But not only that, it is an interesting language and something new!
I would say I am a beginner. I have been revising from books and web sources but really need a good teacher to train me in the correct way.
Areas of improvement - Everything really as I'm pretty much starting from the beginning.
I want to dedicate as much time as possible however I do have busy days so maybe a couple of hours a week.
Qualities = Friendly, well structured lessons, lessons that push and challenge me, motivated and encouraging teacher, homework so I am always revising.
