I am a complete beginner with no knowledge of Catalan or Spanish and am looking for a tutor to teach myself and my two children (ages 3 & 5) to speak basic conversationa l Catalan. We are considering a move to Tarragona in a year or so. We have some other English friends who may also be interested in joining us for a group tutorial. Hopefully this is something you'd consider - The group would consist of 3 or 4 adults and 4 children.
We 're intersted in commiting 2 hours per week to learning but perhaps more frequent lessons as we progress. We would like the lessons to be held in the Watford area if possible. Our ideal tutor would have had experience teaching Catalan to small groups and be familiar with the Catalan schooling system.

I am a student studying A levels, I am in my first year so have over one year left. For university I want to go and study in Sweden as I have family members who have moved out there, however most of the english courses require student to be able to speak, write and read fluent swedish. The only problem is i can't do either. So I need to learn fluent swedish in a year and a half. I would like two to three lessons a week if possible, an hour to two a session.

I am a university Student at the University Birmingham. I hold dual nationality in England and Switzerland and therefore see my German skills to be intermediate.
My vocabulary and understanding is far greater than my written word (which is fairly poor) and grammar.
I am looking for a qualification of sorts in German to further my education and so I can converse with family members easily. I am aware that High German of hoche Deutch as my family members speak is in many respects a very different language to German. But as it is only officially a spoken language learning German would be more appropriate to me.
I am therefore not looking for one on one tutoring but classes I can attend to interact with others.

I am a beginner with no knowledge of Chinese and I would like to learn Mandarin Chinese because I feel that due to increasing business opportunities with China, and feel that in the future when I am about to work Chinese would be vital to be successful. I also enjoy learning about different cultures and I think learning about the culture and language will help me when I visit China.
I am looking to spend about two hours a week.
I am looking for a young, friendly teacher with experience. I have found that I work to my highest potential with teachers who are above all friendly and are able to explain things thoroughly as I tend to ask many questions and finally teaching in a different and unique way than just learning verb tables as I find it helps me learn more quicker and more effectively.
