Im a beginner, learning Japanese I wish to understand my anime/manga without having english subtitles or translations. I also wish to take a year out after I finish my first degree at university to live in Japan. Most importantly, I would to be fluent in speaking Japanese and less importantly able to read and write japanese, although I understnd both are need for full comprehension of the language. Depending on what I am able to afford, I would like to spend 1-2 hours a week with a tutor, and I will also practice in my own time. I don't mind how I am taught or who by, I only ask that I'm not put on-the-spot for answers as I do not tnd to work well this way and often lose my confidence in all I've done so far.

I am a beginner looking to learn Japanese. I want to learn not only to speak Japanese but also how to read & write Japanese as well. I am learning for two reasons. First I am interested in Japanese culture. This includes the language itself as well as music and film and learning the language would allow me to understand and enjoy the culture better. Second, it would give me an extra ability that I could put on my CV and this would help in getting a job and advancing my career in the future. I can dedicate upto four hours a week for my lessons. I am looking for a tutor who is friendly, supportive and patient. I'm not especially clever or gifted but I'm willing to listen and to learn with an open mind and dedication.

I have taken modern standard Arabic (fusha) for one semester at the University of Leeds and for 6 weeks (intensive course) at the Lebanese American University in Beirut. I also lived in Beirut for five months and have therefore learnt some Lebanese dialect Arabic.
This is the area I would like to work on further - Levantine dialect Arabic (Syria, Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine) for conversationa l purposes. However I would also like to work on my MSA reading skills with a view to being able to read Arab newspapers.

I work as a Language Coordinator with a Language School in the United States. Our school services clients around the world. Our students are business men and women and their families who need to learn the language of the country they are in, to be able to do business and to interact socially. As we do not have schools around the world, we service our clients by finding tutors in the various countries and cities where we need them.
I have recently received a request for a child who is in need of English lessons. He is located in North/Central London and would like his lessons in the evenings.
Do you know of anyone who may be interested in tutoring these students? Sometimes, students will teach to earn some extra money. I would appreciate any help that you might be able to offer me in finding qualified English tutors. If you know of anyone who may be interested, they can contact me or send me their CV.
