I am a complete beginner and i wish to learn Chinese with a veiw to furthering my career. I Wish to undertake lessons on a weekly basis, possibly 1 night per week. I also have a friend who wishes to learn Chinese (Mandarin) and we would like to study Chinese together. I am a beginner, i understand some basic Chinese words but have not had any lessons before.
the main reason i would like to learn Chinese is because of a general love of Chinese culture and Chinese people which from my experience are very kind and genuine.
I would be looking to spend about 1 hour a week on lessons
It's so hard finding Chinese teachers that we hold no preference on teaching style or teacher qualities.

I have had the only two estonian language cd's available, but they do not offer conversationa l estonian, I want to learn the language as I am a dual national, english/eston ian and I do spend some time in the country and also have relatives there. 2hrs per week would probably be enough, live tutoring, but maybe on line or telephone would also assist.

Hi my name's Rebecca Thomas and I am a beginner to the Chinese Mandarin language. I want to learn the language because I have quite a few Chinese friends who's english is poor and I wish to communicate with them more. I want to learn to speak the language fluently and also write it fluently and I'll need to start right at the beginning.I wish to spend as much time as it takes me to learn the language.
