Although my father is Saudi Arabian, my mother is English which meant growing up with English as my first language.
Ho wever I did go to a school where Arabic was taught but I failed to pay enough attention hence the reason why I'm wanting to learn now.
Due to my dual nationality I'm not a complete novice but my Arabic definitely needs some brushing-up and I need to work on my confidence with speaking the language.
I am looking for a tutor with experience in teaching and in the London area. Someone who can teach me on a part-time (evenings) basis. Potentially it could be for two students as I have a friend who is more or less in the same predicament as myself.

I am currently studying Japanese for my degree. I only started in September 2005, and have a basic level of Japanese, but I would like to improve this in preperation for year 2. I had health problems which meant that I missed a fair bit of studying and so my knowledge is a bit patchy and I have a quite a bit to catch up on over the summer!
I mainly want a patient tutor for a couple of months (till september) to practise spoken Japanese with me (both polite and plain conversationa l forms) as well as possibly helping me with a small amount of grammar/writi ng. I would like to have a one-on-one session for maybe 1-2 hours once a week just to keep my language skills in check. Hopefully my tutor would have the ability to speak English in case I need any explanations, but I need someone who is patient and willing to help me learn. I am a very keen and motivated student but I would prefer to have the lessons somewhere relatively local to me, in the sussex region if possible.

I am a complete beginner and am looking to learn Thai as a hobby after visiting Thailand several times over the last few years. I am also thinking of possibly looking for work in Thailand and going out there to live for a short time. I have started to learn the language using a book and CD course, but feel that one to one tuition with a native Thai speaker would be beneficial. I would like to learn to speak and read the language.
I would ideally like to have lessons one evening per week, and would be happy for private or group lessons.
