My husband and I have purchased a farmhouse in the Algarve and eventually would like to live there. We would both like to learn how to speak Portuguese as we believe if you are going to live in a foreign country you should speak the language.
We are both complete beginners.
W e could perhaps take lessons of 1 or 2 hours per week or maybe more if thought necessary

I am a beginner albeit I know some words and phrases and the alphabet, a little, but wish to get upto speed social level to start and maybe business depending on progress.
It is mainly for personal use but have worked in Russia and maybe want to return later for work.
I want a couple of lessons a week ideally after hours - from 4 onwards or at weekends
I need a patient teacher as a bit hard of hearing and slow on uptake at times albeit not a dimwit but langauge wise takes me repeated times for stuff to sink in.
PS Senior Computer Manager so not dumb but slow on uptake with langauages. Have reasonable French from long ago.

To answer the above questions, I have studied Spanish in the past (at school), but haven't had reason to use it and have therefore forgotten most of what I learnt. I am told my accent is still good though.
I wish to learn for no other reason than I would enjoy it.
I need help in all areas.
In terms of commitment, I would look at a one 1hr session per week, but the teacher must be based in central London (as am I).
