My job is project related and therefore I can end up working anywhere in the UK. I am working in Littlehampton for the next six months as an IT consultant. I have recently moved to Spain and commute each week to and from the UK. I have been studying Spanish for about 3 years and the last time that I was evaluated (by Berlitz)I was graded as intermediate. On each project I try to find a local tutor to continue learning the language, mainly in the area of conversation.
I would like to spend about one hour a week and am looking for, ideally, a Spanish native.

My name is Jamie, I am a 21 year old music graduate. My background half malaysian-chi nese, half scottish and I want to learn to speak Mandarin Chinese to a decent level so that i can communicate more effectively with older relatives when i visit Malaysia next spring... following my visit I plan to do some travelling on my own in China so it is extremely important that I can get by in general conversation, a basic knowledge of chinese characters would be good too.
At present I have some basic conversationa l skills, and a grasp of the different tones, I also know a little bit about pin yin. I am a fast learner and with the right teacher I'm sure I can learn quickly.
M y ambition is to become fluent in Chinese and know something about Chinese culture.
I would like a native Chinese teacher who is enthusiastic about the language and enjoys teaching. I especially would like there to be an emphasis on proper pronunciation , tones and good grammar so strictness in this area is good. A young teacher would be nice, so I can find out a little bit about modern Chinese culture although I don't really mind about the age of the teacher, experience would be just as beneficial. A teacher interested in arts, music and humanities would be great too.
I enjoy listening to the shanghai accent! If the teacher speaks this way that's a bonus.
I am willing to do one or two evening classes a week for the next few months, please get in contact if you think you would enjoy having me as a pupil.
