I`m from Switzerland. I had English at school for 2 years. For my studies I read a lot of English books (biology), so my passive knowledge is good. I need to repeat the grammar, increase my vocabulary and train conversation. At the moment I`m doing a traineeship in a lab at the University of Cambridge for three month. For this time i`m looking for a private teacher for 1-2h a week in the evening. It is not necessairy that the teacher speaks german.

Husband and Wife who would like to learn to speak, read and write in Italian.
W e would like to retire to Italy some time in the future and do not wish to be part of the ex-pat community, we want to be part of an Italian community and would prefer to speak Italian all the time once we are living there.
We are beginners and would like to take as much time as is needed to learn to read, write and speak Italian.
W e would like to have private at home tuition for approximately three hours per week, this can be adjusted depending on progress.
We would prefer the tutor to be a native Italian or of Italian extraction, although we would be happy with an Italian tutor with good qualification s and a proven track record of teach the subject.
P ersonal qualities of the tutor would have to include, being polite, patient, interesting and must be some one with a good sence of humour. We would also like someone who has an interesting approach to teaching and who could make lessons interesting and meaningful.

I am very interested in learning Swedish, as I have a Swedish daughter-in-l aw, expect to have Swedish grandchildren , and spend quite a bit of time in Sweden. I have picked up basic everyday expressions, but would really learn so much more. My son, who has lived there since 1995, speaks fluent Swedish, and often forgets that I don't speak the language, so I often feel isolated.
I don't know if there is anyone in Cambridge who could give me lessons - I would be very grateful to hear from someone!
I hold an Ancestry Visa, so can live in the UK indefinitely, I have been living in Cambridge for 18 months now, and work at the Cambridge Regional College.

My level is intermediate and I'm hoping to improve my conversation skills. I'm teaching myself grammar, but need to improve my reading skills quite a bit. The reason why I'm learning Persian is a strong interest in the language and my goal is to be able to read Persian literature at some stage and be able to talk with my Persian friends. I am hoping to do at least two hours per week, while continuing to teach myself for the rest of the time. The main quality I'm looking for in my teacher is that he/she must be a native speaker and must have a very structured approach to teaching. I'm looking for someone who will be able to boost my conversation skills to a much higher level not just through plain conversation, but also by applying different techniques.
