I lived in Poland for six months whilst I was studying at the Polish-Japane se Institute of Computer Technology. I had little opportunity to learn Polish as all of the students spoke English and preferred speaking in English rather than suffer my stilted attempts at Polish. I have learnt only a few basic phrases and some vocabulary but need to take this further.
I will be returning to Poland at various times in the future and may eventually move there permanently. I am therefore looking to become proficient in the language.
I am currently studying for a PhD in Computer Science and do not therefore have as much time as I would like. I would probably want lessons a couple of times a week perhaps for a couple of hours each lesson.

Level: Absolute beginner. Don't speak Serbo-Croat at all, but good understanding of written and spoken S-C, due to knowledge of Polish (native) and Russian (conversation al).
Why learn: I have fiancee from Serbia, I want to communiate with her family, as well as to phase out English entirely from our communication . Besides, I like the language very much. I love the people as well!
Areas of particular interest: conversation, grammar
Ti mescale: approx 2 lessons/week.
Qualities: I need the lessons to provide me with structured curriculum to be followed by my own practising with Mirjana at home.

I have done some Italian before, I did a beginner's foundation course and started the GCSE course but didn't complete it. I have been on holiday in Italy and managed to 'get by'. That was some time ago and I have probably forgotten quite a lot!
I want to learn Italian because I love the way native speakers sound, its a beautiful language and I would like to go to live in Italy one day. I would like a new challenge.
I would like to have a lesson once per week at first, and would do private work at home at least one other evening. I could do extra work as time allows. I would prefer to do an 'immersion course', an intensive, only-speak-It alian course, but think this might be too expensive.
I would like to be able to converse in Italian, and so have a teacher who isn't focussed just on learning vocabulary and grammar (although I recognise that this is important) but will help me learn the language the way I learned English, by natural use of the language.

I am a French assistant in ryde, in the Isle of Wight.I have been learning Madarin for almost three years in France and I don't want to give up this year. I would like to improve my speaking and I think that an hour or two of conservation with a native Mandarin teacher will be very helpful. I really hope I could find someone speaking Mandarin in the Isle of Wight or in Portsmouth.
I study Mandarin because I am really interested in China in general and I would like to spend a year there after the end of my studies.
