My name is Emily and I would like to learn the Czech/Slovak language. My employer is a native of the Czech Replubic and I would like to be able to communicate with her in her native tongue. She is trying to teach me the basics, but doesn't really have the time to dedicate to my learning. I am located on the east coast and would have to depend upon phone calls in order to learn proper pronunciation , etc. Thank you.

-I am a beginner
-I am interested in the Czech language because my husband is Czech
-I need to learn all areas of the language but firstly I need to be able to understand conversations and communicate to begin with
-I would be able to spend a couple mornings each week for now. I am also taking university classes at FIU and working full time.
- I am a slow and difficult learner of foriegn languages(hav e never had success). I need someone who has patience and i guess someone who will give me repetitive lessons so information will stick into my long term memory.

My Czech is rudimentary.
Learned from my grandfather years ago.
Read/ listen better than speaking - I can undestand or read simple czech phrases
and simple course like Pimsleur - need more than that.
Pref er to focus on speaking as I will be going to Prague on business in 1 year - would like to relearn basics before then.
Woul d like 1hr/week lessons but due to work cannot make a standing schedule like 9AM every tuesday. Could probably function over the phone as I am trying to mainly learn the correct pronunciation .
