I am a beginner to the Spanish language. I want to learn Spanish for career advancement as well as personal satisfaction. I primarily want to focus on conversationa l Spanish then grammar. I would like to dedicate 12-18 months in learning Spanish. I am looking for a teacher that can make learning spanish fun and interactive. Male or female teacher is acceptable. I currently have no knowledge of Mandarin; however, I am motivated to learn for the following reasons:
1.) My daughter is currently learning Mandarin. She was born in the States; however, her mother's side of the family is from Taiwan and speaks primarily Madarin. I would like to help her learn and to learn as well.
2.) I would like to eventually use the Mandarin language in business. I am currently in the accounting/fi nance field and believe that Mandarin will become more and more important within the next 5-10 years.
I would prefer to meet either 2 or 3 times per week depending on the cost and location availability.
