My finace is from Poland and the entire family speaks Polish, I would like to be able to communicate. Although I am of Polish decent, no one in my family speaks Polish any longer.

The areas in which you feel you need particular improvement (e.g., grammar, conversation, etc.), if any. All...I am starting from the ground up.
How much time you want to dedicate to your language lessons. Twice a week or more.
What qualities you are looking for in your lessons or in your teacher. I am looking for someone who understands why I am trying to learn the language and is willing to be patient enough to teach me.
A: The more the better! Ideally:
1.W hat is the language you want to learn? Polish.
2.Wh at are your specific goals with it and how fast would you like to achieve that? I want to be able to communicate effectively with my soon to be family and understand the conversations around me. I'd like to learn as fast as I am able to.
3.Do you have any BACKGROUND in the target language (level, experiences, used books)? No.
4.How much time are you willing/able to dedicate for learning it? At least twice a week.
5.What form of classes do you prefer? (online or in person, individual, semi-ind., or group classes) I would prefer in person, individual or semi individual. I would consider group classes as well.
6.If you prefer the classes in person, are you able to travel (Northwest Suburbs of Chicago)? If NOT, what is your location (city, zip code)? Yes, but only in the evenings. I am located in Elmwood Park.
7.What days would you like to have the classes (vs. how often, for how long)? At least twice a week, for an amount of time that allows me to learn in the quickest manner.

I've always been interested in learning languages. I would someday like to work in Germany - either for ESA or another aerospace company.
I 've never formally studied German but I have gone through several Rosetta Stone lessons by myself. I also lived in the Netherlands for half a year and I learned some Dutch/German there. I'm very quick at picking up the basics of a new language but sometimes need more motivation to continue learning.
I'm most interested in conversation and writing.
I am willing to dedicate up to 4 hours per week to language lessons.
I would prefer a teacher who is a native German speaker, but anyone who is fluent is fine.

I am interested in learning more than spanish. I spent 4 months in Costa Rica learning Spanish, so I am not looking for Spanish classes to learn Spanish, but classes to perfect my Spanish and classes in other languages. First I would like to study Russian again. I lived in Russia for 4 months but did not have the chance to speak it well and I am afraid I have forgotten most of my vocabulary. I would also like to study French and the German. Eventually Mandarin and Japanese. All of this would be for career advancement. I would like to work as a translator.
I don't yet know how much time I want to devote to my language learning. Unfortunately , I won't know that until January. I am a college student and have other classes, but I would also like to study a language at the same time. I am looking for a teacher who is fun and interactive and would help me learn languages by using them. I am good at grammar, but to retain the vocabulary, I need to constantly practice speaking. I'd be interested in having classes with a teacher who is willing to meet me in parts of the town or city where the classes are to physically interact with the vocabulary. Also for this reason, I prefer classes in person.
in all languages, except for Spanish, I am a beginner. Because of my lack of Spanissh vocabulary, I am advanced-inte rmadiate in Spanish and despite my time in Russia, I am still a beginner in Russian because of lack of practice. I did not have practice in Russian after returning to the States because I was preparing myself to leave and go to Costa Rica - therefore, refreshing my Spanish.
