I am a 21-year-old Punjabi student. Since I was brought up and raised in Houston, I was only taught the English language. Having 2 Punjabi parents, I would really like to learn the Punjabi language as well. I can understand some words and very small sentences but for the most part I am unable to converse. I need most improvement in grammar and conversation but I'm not really interested in learning how to read or write at this time. I can dedicate lessons up to 3-4 times a week in the evenings.

I am learning Punjabi because my husband is Punjabi and it is his family's main language. I would label myself a beginner and have picked up some basics within the last 5 years (I can count to ten, identify some vegetables, ask how are you doing). I want to focus on conversation so I can communicate with my in-laws on the phone and when we visit. I am willing to dedicate daily time but cost will determine the frequency of lessons. I am looking for a fun and friendly teacher. I would love to meet in person at the San Jose King Public Library or somewhere in San Jose, but Skype is also a good option. I need a patient teacher who is skilled in presenting Punjabi in a logical sequence and can cater to lesson I can use immediately and have relevance to modern day daily conversation.

I am a beginner and would like to improve my Italian. I have had a few lessons in the UK but I am about to move to the US. I would like to learn Italian because I love the language and because I think it could be useful to understand and speak a second language. I have a basic knowledge of some of the more simple grammar but need to improve both this and my conversationa l ability. I would also like to improve my vocabulary. Ideally, it would be good to participate in either a two hour lesson, once a week, or two one hour sessions per week if possible. I would like to be taught by someone who is quite patient and has a good sense of humor, as I think it is important to have fun while learning a new language!
