I've always been interested in becoming fluent in Spanish. I have taken several classes in the language and actually have graduated with a degree in Spanish Education, however, in order to teach I need a rating of Intermediate High/Advanace d Low on the ACTFL Test. When I took the test I received a rating of Intermedite Mid.
I do work at least 40 hours a week, however, I am willing to dedicate as much time as I can in order to become fluent.

My name is George Malloy. Over the second half of this summer, I will be participating in a study abroad program in Innsbruck, Austria. I am eager to learn as much German as possible between now and when I depart for Austria early in July so I can take full advantage of my travels while in Europe. I have no previous experience in studying German, but I did study Spanish all four years of highschool. I am currently a student at the University of Texas, but will be in Dallas during the month of June. I am learning Japanese because after returning from my time in Japan and being married to a Japanese woman, I want to become a better speaker for many different reasons.
I suppose that I would be a high beginner or lower intermediate. I can read katakana, hiragana and basic kanji. My grammar and conversation need the most work.
I am hoping to take a private lesson once a week.
In the teacher - I need someone fluent in English and who will assign me homework - have to stay motivated!

I would like to learn 'amharic' because I find it to be a beautiful language with a long history. I love the Ethiopian culture and am impressed because it is a royal language of Africa. I am almost a beginner. However I can read the language. I have taught myself how to read it by studying books. I would like to practice learning the grammar and be able to hold a conversation. I would like an Ethiopian teacher.
