My name is Omar and I am 26 years-old living in Drexel Hill, PA. I have Arabic fundamentals and can speak, read, & write, but only at a basic level. My goal is to perfect my Egyptian colloquial speaking, as well as learn to read and write better. I’m not very interested in learning using traditional textbooks and homework exercises (repetition). I would like human interaction, accent refinement, and just general work on my vocabulary and grammar. Could you help me with this? If so, what are your rates and availability? I work during the days, but am free nights and weekends (I would prefer Sat or Sun mornings).

I seek private lessons. I hope to find a teacher who can help me to learn not just formal 'business trip Japanese', but modern, colloquial, dynamic Japanese (including slang). I want to be able to fully understand modern Japanese media (TV, comics, etc.), but also be able to appreciate the history of the language, and more traditional culture.
I want to learn both spoken and written Japanese, and be enabled to memorize all the essential kanji.
I have been teaching myself on and off over the years, but I still feel like a beginner.
I would like to begin with chat or email-based lessons (maybe we can do phone or video chat later on) around 1 hour per week, but I may wish to increase that frequency after a while.
