I am a beginner who knows the arabic alphabet and can read, but no comprehension . I would like to learn more about the arabic language b/c I am a muslismah and I also plan to travel to Morroco soon. I have always wanted to learn Arabic and after spending the last 2 weeks in Egypt with my best friend I decided to move foward with my learning. I want to be able to master the basic everyday conversationa l skills whether it is asking directions or ordering food. From there I guess I will see where it goes. I would hope that one day I could be fluent in the language. I am looking for a teacher who makes learning a language fun. I would also say a teacher with a lot of patience would probably be ideal because going from a romance language to a language where everything is spoken in the back of your throat is extreamly difficult for me. If you could get back to me I would appreciate it.

I've been studying Arabic for about a year. I know about 150 words, can read and write and well as transcribe to sounds. I want to get much better...to be able to speak it as well as read and write. I want a native speaker, preferably someone who has lived in Egypt or the Middle East. I am fluent in German, love Arabic, but am particular about Egyptian Arabic. I can do video and audio, but also want to do written homework. I really want to be able to converse. I am a 17 year old home schooled student.
