I'm currently learning and interested in Swedish, Spanish, Portuguese, Esperanto, Norwegian, Icelandic, Hebrew, Arabic, Tibetan, Farsi, Tagalog, Indonesian, Vietnamese, German, French and others. I learn them for the love of language - if it benefits career advancement then that is only the cherry on top. I occasionally translate freelance form Spanish to English and Portuguese to English.

I have always been interested in foreign languages and I am fascinated with Eastern Europe. I am currently learning Croatian and I’m at an intermediate level. I have family in Croatia and have visited many times. I wish to continue to learn the language. I have done some of the basics, but never taken a real course. I am wanting to learn Croatian in hopes of completing a certification course for TEFL. It's a program that allows people to teach English out of the country. I am definitely a beginner, but I tend to grasp things fairly quickly. I would need to be proficient in all areas of the language. As I've stated already, I am planning on taking a certification course which would require me to be so. I want to dedicate at least 2 days out of the week for learning Croatian, the rest I would spend on my own time studying. I would really enjoy it if my teacher would assign homework assignments along with the lessons and review. I would also like it if they possibly had their own materials handy to teach from; not necessary though. Or at least direct me on what/and how I should be learning the language. Thank you.
