my husband works for an Iranian company and I would like to be able to chat with the people there as I occasionally work on the reception desk for them.
I am an total beginner.
I need conversation to be able to answer the phone and reply to questions.
I am unsure what would be the best amount of time to give to lessons but I want to learn, so would like to find out what is recommended.
I would like it to be fun, perhaps playing games and having audio to practice on mp3.
I would also like to learn about culture in Iran/Turkey as we have been invited to visit.

Hello, my name is sam, and I work in a pre-school.
I have been learning some key words in different languages for the last few months to help myself in my role as multi cultural co-ordinator, colleagues and the children and families within my setting.
We have some children starting with us soon who do not speak any English. I wish to learn Hindi to be able to put the children and families at ease and to aid their transition into pre-school. I would feed back to my colleagues so we can all converse with the children.
I have been trying to teach myself with books but I am not getting on very well with them, and learn alot better being able to hear and see what I am meant to do ie, how to move your tounge etc.
I do not want to rush learning the language but obviously do need to learn quite soon to help the children.

i am a beginner in learning chinese my fiance is from beijing and we are planning to marry in may we are planning to live in england for a few years then move over to beijing i would like to learn the language in order to have conversations with her family and for working, although my fiance speaks english very good but not perfect i would like to learn via a private teacher so that my learning is to a good standard without the stress of learning within the relationship
