Hey,
My first language was Serbian, but due to me growing up in Amsterdam I learnt Dutch like everyone else. Once I was fluent I taught myself English too. The reason I’m bringing this up is because of me speaking these 2 languages so often I slowly started to forget Serbian. And by the time I wanted to visit my grandparents back in Mladenovac I had already forgotten everything. Although I can understand the very basics, they’re only small remnants and left overs of when I could speak Serbian. See me as a 4 year old with learning gaps, that sums me up.
Well of course as you can imagine it got very frustrating to forget my own language. Therefore I’ve been trying to learn it myself, however, it hasn’t been to easy. I get distracted easily and lack the proper discipline. This is why I would love to have a teacher help me through the proper steps.
