I have been learning for a long time and also lived in Japan. I watch Japanese YouTube lessons or videos for about an hour most days. However, I suck! I want to improve my Japanese and speak it correctly. I'd like a teacher who speaks in only Japanese unless I ask for him/her to speak in English. It depends on the cost as to how many hours a week I can afford.

Since retiring I spend 6 weeks plus in Greece every year and love it. My command of the language is basic at best and my ambition is to extend my vocabulary so I can interact more effectively with local people.
Th e focus for me is conversation with an understanding of grammar to underpin this. I am motivated and am prepared to commit to home study on a daily basis to accelerate the learning process
I envisage either learning in a small face to face group or online with a patient and knowledgeable teacher.
