Hello,
To start with I have a natural curiosity towards language studies. I have a BA in Foreign Language Studies, English/Germa n. My native language is Russian.
My husband is from Lithuania. I would like to learn Lithuanian language to be able to fully communicate with him and his friends as well as to have a better chance of adjusting if we ever decide to move to Lithuania. My knowledge of Lithuanian is truly rudimentary. I know a couple of words and phrases.
I would like to dedicate 2-4 hours a week to my language lessons. My goal is to learn all aspects of spoken (standard/cla ssic) and written language as well as be able to understand everyday speech (slang, idioms, etc)

I am learning lithuanian so I can speak with my boyfriend and my boyfriends family. They moved here around ten years ago so they have no problem speaking English. However I wish I could speak lithuanian because not all of his family members speak english. I also like learning languages, but it's hard to learn lithuanian were I live because no one speaks it, and even the libraries don't have much! So anything would be well appreciated!
