Description |
I would be at a beginning level, but I've had some tutors and basic classes in the past. My experience is on and off again, but as I am planning a trip to Japan next year (maybe Sept) and also a volunteer in guest relations for an anime convention (where I work directly with our Japanese guests for an entire weekend and have to be with them in the airport), I need to get serious about learning Japanese. I am not sure how much time I want to comment to the program - at least .5 - 1hr/week with one-on-one lessons. It is possible my husband may want to join in the lessons too (he is at a true beginner level). I need an instructor who is patient and understanding . I am a working mother taking classes towards my certification in my field and have very little free time, but am also very serious about learning this beautiful and wonderful language.

Description |
I am interested in learning Italian because I find it fascinating. I have studied it for about three months using Rosetta Stone, busuu, Fluentz, etc. But speaking with a native speaker has been the most useful learning experience. I feel like a beginner, but I am able to recognize maybe 500 words of Italian when I see them. It is harder for me to think of the Italian word for something just given the English word for it. i.e. reading is easier than writing, and listening is easier than speaking.
I would like to improve in overall comprehension , vocabulary, general introduction, etc.
I will be able to spend about 8 hours in Milan on studying Italian. The afternoon/eve ning on Oct 27th and the morning/after noon on the 28th.
I don't have any specific requirements of the teacher, other than patience and enjoyment and having fun while learning.

Description |
I have been studying Japanese for the past 7 years, but it is constantly on and off. For the past year, I have taken Japanese 101 & 102 up in Boulder and I have loved every second of it! I love being in a structured plan instead of an individual study plan. Sadly, I am changing schools where they do not offer Japanese, so I want to find a tutor so I can continue my studies. I believe I am a little better than a beginner, but I would love to review to make sure I am proficient. I need help with listening and speaking japanese. I feel that I write it very well, but I cannot always hear it and it's hard for me to create sentences verbally. I would love to spend 2 or 3 hours a week in person studying japanese with my tutor. I would like a tutor who always has a plan with their lesson and doesn't just come to see what will happen. I want to work on my speaking skills, but not all the time, as I would like to also be able to create sentences and learn kanji. So, learning sentence structure would be great! I want my tutor to be patient and professional. Any sort of handout or lesson/homewo rk would be great as well.

Description |
We have a daughter with progressive hearing loss and we would like to learn sign language as a family in order to communicate with her more effectively. We are at the beginner level presently with help from dvd's, books, and flash cards. We would like to begin with one to two hours of weekly instruction. We are looking for someone who is fluent in speaking and signing the English language (SEE).
