I am learning Portuguese to pass the fluency exam for citizenship. I hope to move to Portugal within the next few years. My hope is to work at a university teaching mathematics or education courses. Currently I am a beginner, but may be heading towards intermediate with work I have been doing on my own. I need the most help training my ear and learning to not translate every work in my head. I will be traveling to India and hopefully visiting there for a period of six to nine months. I want to learn about the culture and believe knowing how to speak Hindi will help make this more personal. I also have a desire to learn to write I believe the written language of 'Sanskrit'.
I am a beginner in proficiency.
I need improvement in both grammar and conversation.
I am willing to put in a total of 20 hours a week. This includes both study time as well as time with teacher.
I would love to have practical lessons, as well as book lessons. If possible someone who knows the culture first hand and has spent time in India.
