I want to learn Vietnamese because I have several friends who are Vietnamese and I have met a Vietnamese woman who I would like to know better. I am truly a beginner. I want to learn as much as I can both in verbal conversation and written conversation. I will dedicate all my free time to learning Vietnamese. My father is Russian, but was born and raised in Yugoslavia. I spoke Serbian as a small child but my relations with my father were severed and I've forgotten most of the Serbian I spoke as a child. I would like to learn Russian for personal reasons but also because I love learning new languages. I can also speak fluent German.
I am taking a hiatus from the University at the moment and it's proven to be extremely torturous for me. I love to learn and I thought with this time off I could finally learn to speak Russian and give my Babushka a surprise.
