I would like to learn the Russian language to be able to travel throughout there country. I am beginner and can dedicate a number of hours a week. I would like a patient teacher as I consider myself a slow learner.

My name is Jeremy, I am Latvian/Engli sh, and I have all Ukrainian and Russian friends. My grandfather spoke Russian but did not speak to my dad and I wish he would have. I have been casually been learning the language fro 10 years but I would like to be fluent. I can read, write, and speak with about 50% proficiency. I would like to see how formal training could help me and I am willing to dedicate a decent amount of time to it as long as it is worth while. After school I plan to spend a lot of time in Kiev, Moscow, and St. Petersburg. I would like a teacher who does not look down on people making mistakes.

I would say I am intermediate at Russian. I left Russia when I was 6, so I forgot most of it. I can not read or write. I can speak moderately. I am looking to learn to speak better, read and write.

I am a grade 11 student, and I am currently taking a grade 11 level (intermediate ) course for German, and I am seeking a tutor for Russian, since I am determined to learn Russian.
I find myself to be quite well with languages, so it would not be too much of a struggle in teaching me a new language.
