Potential Teachers,
I have spent most my life in the United States and not really exposed to other languages. I work for a company that sends me around China and it actually put me in contact with a lot of Russian/Ukrai nian people. I started speaking some, and my thirst to LEARN a new language quickly evolved. I now have many friends that are Russian and would like to be able to speak to them in their native tongue. I have learned many single words, but my grammer and using the proper man and female terms I am not good at. I need a teacher that will make me feel comfortable and not make me feel bad when I make mistakes, because we all know mistakes will happen. I am willing to work hard at learning, as much time as my job allows. I prefer private lessons. Thank you very much, and I hope to hear from someone soon.

I'm an intermediate learner of Russian, which I learned on a one year stay in Moscow.
My grammar is weak, but my main focus being conversation, I would like classes to concentrate on fluent exchange and vocabulary, with some grammar and reading/writi ng.
I want a relaxed studying atmosphere, but expect a professional attitude from the teacher. I can study once a week (one hour and half would be ideal), and do some limited homework.

I plan to move to Russia next Fall and plan to later enter into a university program focusing on Russian language and literature.
I studied Russian in New York for about 6 months in 2000 and visited the country briefly in 2002, but much of what I learned of the language has been forgotten. I can read the cyrillic alphabet, but my vocabulary and grammar would be at the beginner's level.
I would like to study from December of this year (2009) to at least August of next year (2010), and I'd like to start with 2-hour lessons twice/week, possibly increasing lessons to 3 times/week.
Would need a teacher who is reliable and committed enough to plan lessons according to my needs. Also would need help in acquiring appropriate materials for study: textbooks and so forth.
