I would like to learn mandarin Chinese for several reasons including: potential career advancement, my fiance is Chinese and we would like to teach our future children Chinese and speak it in the home. Also I have always wanted to speak a second language fluently but haven't had the opportunity to practice any other language on a daily basis with anyone. I graduated from OSU with a Landscape Architecture degree and there is a lot of work there, so my being able to speak Chinese could be advance my career.

Well, the reason why i want to leanr standard arabic is that i am a muslim and my whole religion is based on the arabic language. I dont like to trust translators because their human beings and they might make a mistake. I would be find with translators if it was anything else. However this is my religion i cant afford to read thee wrong translation. Then i would fall into invovation and that's very serious.

Hello, I am Egyptian but came to the US at 8 months old. I can understand a great deal of Arabic but cannot read/write and struggle greatly to speak. I have very little knowledge of Arabic grammar except what I've picked up from listening to others speak. I also have children (ages 1,4,8,11) who do not know any Arabic. I would like them to learn.
