I am very interested in learning to speak Croatian more fluently. My current proficiency level would be just above beginner for the main reason that it is my ethnic background and I have been around it all my life but my ability to speak the language would be that of comedy in my opinion.
T he reason I would like to learn is that I plan on going to visit my relatives in Croatia next year and I would like to be able to converse with them in the native tongue, and I would like to be able to converse with my Mom in her language. I know it would make her happy, and myself as well.
Area s of improvement would really be all of the above. Although, I would utimately like to be able to converse and carry a conversation.
I am quite busy with my work, however, I would be willing to put in alot of night time if I felt that I was making good strides and progress learning the language.
The qualities I am looking for in a teacher would be:
Patien ce, sincerity, dedication, friendly, and a good sense of humour. A Croatian teaching certification would be a bonus, but not absolutely necessary.

I am learning Croatian so that I will be able to have conversations with my girlfriend and her family while I am visiting Croatia. My girlfriend speaks Croatian and English but her mother only speaks Croatian so it is very difficult to have conversations with her.
I am a beginner even though I am able to start basic conversations using the Croatian language.
I am looking to hire a teacher that can provide structure to my learning habits. I would like to schedule tutoring at least once a week.
