Proficiency level -- Beginner. This is the first time to learn the language.
Reason - Career advancement. To be able to interact, be understood by and understand Japanese people, be able to read and write in Japanese.
Areas of improvement -- Grammar, conversation, reading and all other areas that will make student very confident in relating with the Japanese especially in their own country.
Time for learning -- Daily or as recommended by the teacher at possibly 2 hours per day.
Quali ty -- An excellent teacher for a student to learn very well and fast, strict and disciplined while teaching but friendly and approachable in person. Must also be patient when student is having a difficult time in learning a certain area. Creative and resourceful in thinking up other methods of instructions for faster learning.

My level of Japanese is beginner if not below for I am learning soley on text book, online video courses, and cultural media (music, movies, Tv shows, etc.). I would love to be fluent in Japanese because my school of choice is in Shibuya prefecture of Tokyo and I enjoy Japanese culture very much and the lifetstyle. My schedule is not usually busy; I would like to have at least 2-3 hours for 3 days out of the week or 1 depending on the distance of travel for the teacher. A good teacher for me would be a charismatic, kind, intelligent, and patient teacher that can keep me motivated and focused because Japanese can be very complicated for me especially in pronounciatio n, the grammar structure, and writing.

I want to learn Japanese for work purposes. I may have to move there. Needless to say I need help in every department.
