I am an extreme beginner. My experience to date is Pimsleur CDs, one trip to Munich and, in the distant foggy past, many many german-speaki ng relatives at family gatherings. On my mother's side I am only second generation in the States. I'll be traveling to Germany periodically for business and, in the future, vacations. I am very interested in becoming conversationa lly proficient, and in being able to pass that on to my two little girls.

Hi, I traveling to Germany in 2006 for the World Cup for business and pleasure. I am seeking to learn enough German to get by with casual conversion. I have no German language experience; however, am a pretty fast learner. I am a very busy person, meaning I travel Monday through Thursday, work half a day Friday, and generally spend most of my weekend either on the lake or on the golf course. I am willing to spend 20-40 hours a month learning the language. I am seeking a patient teacher.

Have taken one semester of community college german, am looking to improve proficiency level before graduate school in the fall.
