My husband and I are interested in learning Danish, as we are planning to move to Denmark later in the year for work. We are absolute beginners- we need to learn the language from scratch! We are after a lesson a week, that will allow us the build some conversationa l danish. We are happy to learn from recommended text books between lessons.

I have recently undertaken a German course in Germany at the B1 level and wish to keep up my German when I return home. I can read newspaper texts, articles from Der Spiegel and similar texts without too much difficulty. I want to improve my reading and writing skills to enable me to write in German to friends, express opinions on current topics and to become more familiar with the German legal system. My preferred means of learning is by email. The tutor refers me to a lesson or text, I study it and complete exercises and send for marking.
I prefer 'traditional' textbooks such as Russon's German grammar textbooks with the opportunity to do some translating from English to German of selected texts.
I don't care where the tutor is located as contact will be by email.
I hope this does not sound too unorthodox to potential tutors.

I have always loved languages. I was born in the Netherlands to Somalian/Ethi opian parents so my first languages were Dutch, Somali and Arabic. However I moved to Australia at the age of 11, and sadly have forgotten most of my Dutch. I want to learn Dutch again as I am planning to return in February 2012 and want my Dutch to be native fluent- as it was before. In addition I am also learning German.
My Dutch is only semi- fluent. I can only understand about 40% of conversation and my written communication in Dutch is of beginner standard. I want to improve my conversationa l skills, vocbulary, grammar and fluency.
I would like to dedicate 1 lesson per week over a number of weeks (8-12). In the Melbourne Metropolitan area.

I want to learn to speak and write croatian as my boyfriend is Croatian and we intend to holiday there next year. I am at a very beginner level.
