I am a beginning level student for learning the Finnish language. My fiance is a Finnish native and we will traveling to Finland in December. I will be meeting his family for the first time and most of his family members do not speak english very well. I have tried to learn finnish by studying some books that I purchased, but the language is a bit too hard for me to try to learn on my own. I will need help on the grammar, conversation, and pronunciation of the Finnish language. My accent is pretty bad and I want to make sure that I am saying the words properly enough for people to understand. I would like to have lessons once or twice a week for one hour per lesson. Although I will be traveling to Finland during the Christmas season, I would like to continue the lessons upon my return, so that I could improve my skills to a proficient level.
I would prefer that my teacher to be a native speaker of the language, but I welcome anyone interested in teaching me.

I've never studied Arabic before. I sing flamenco (southern Spanish folk and gypsy songs), which shares some of its culture with Arabic tradition and music. I hope to incorporate Arabic into some of the music I write.

Currently, I have no background in Polish (just ten words or so), but I would like to begin learning so I can trace my Polish ancestry as well as fit in better in my local community in Chicago.
G enerally, I learn best by teaching myself and working one-on-one. Ideally, I would like to study 2-4 hours with a tutor per week, and can commit 1/2 to 1 hour per day to homework. Due to my work schedule, I have a good opportunity to take a two week vacation in Poland towards the end of September, and would like to study intensively before then.

I am an english speaking beginner who wishes to learn the croatian language because I'm very interested in the culture and wish to visit Croatia within the next year. I'm going back to school to study linguistics and hope to someday, perhaps, work for the U.N. I definately want to know proper grammar as well as how to work my way toward flowing conversations . I want to dedicate at least an hour every day to learning the language.
