My name is Tim, and I want to learn how to (in order) understand a normal Farsi conversation (listen, translate and speak), be able to read Persian Script, and eventually be able to write in Farsi. My reason to learn is for personal growth and I would be starting as a beginner with very little pre-existing knowledge of the language. The amount of time I would like to spend learning would be a couple times (depending on cost) a week with an actual tutor and more on my own. I want my lessons to teach me the basics i.e. alphabet, and proper pronunciation of words and letters, how to speak formally and with the native slang, and ect. I'm looking for an experience tutor that is well versed in the language and the cultural.

I really would like to learn Persian because my father is from there but he does not live with me so he cannot teach me. I would like to visit Iran and other countries in the middle east.
