My proficiency level in the languages is Beginner, being the only things I've acquired are simple things from friends. My pronunciation is miserable in both languages, being I really never hear how to speak it. The only thing I've ever used to speak is music. Which can't be very helpful.
I am learning the languages because I plan on visiting Korea, and Japan eventually.
I need improvement in the entire languages. Plus, I have interest in both sorts of music, and would like to be able to understand what I am listening to.
I am willing, and able, to dedicate as much time as needed for learning. I am genuinely interested in learning both of these languages, and becoming fluent.
I would like a teacher that is responsive, helpful, patient, and able to explain things in different ways. It would be nice to have one that can easily accommodate me, and I am able to understand.

As of now i am a layman to the Japanese language. I want to learn it for personal interest in a foreign language and also to use it as a career option like teaching or translation. I need to learn the language from scratch as i have no prior exposure to this language. I would like to put in 3 days a week for as many months required to learn. I would like to be taught in a group of 3-4 students, interactive method of learning is what im looking for. Also exposure to the Japanese culture, life style etc.

I am beginner-leve l student of Japanese. I am currently studying on my own, concentrating on learning the Kana, and using the book 'Genki' for grammar and vocabulary.
