I want to learn German as I would like to go and study at ETH Zurich but the first cycle is in German. I am an absolute beginner, I don't speak the language at all. I will dedicate 2 to 3 lessons a week to my German. I want my teacher to be patient and have a very profound knowledge of the language.

I will be going to Basel, Switzerland for studying and would like to be able to understand the language better and communicate with people there. I have heard that they speak German in that area.
I have no experience in speaking German.
I would just like to learn some form of beginner German to be able to communicate satisfactoril y.
I will be able to attend classes everyday if necessary.
A teacher that is patient and dedicated to teaching will be advantageous. The lessons should be well structured for me to follow.
