I think I'm a mid level beginner. I can read katakana and hirigana, recognize about 100 kanji, have simple conversations about interests, work etc.
I can work with most -te forms, adjectives, most particles and have a good grasp of the past, non-past and present progressive tenses.
I would like to be able to speak and read Japanese.

I am a beginner who has many reasons to learn outside of the fact that it will help with my career advancement. I need advancement in all areas of the language being a beginner. Im open to the time required in learning and I hope to find an instructor who has experience in teaching true beginners. I prefer a class room setting but willing to go with whatever surrounding necessary with the right instructor.
