My name is Timothy Marshall. I plan on living in Korea for the next four years and would like to learn more about the language. I am familiar with the Korean alphabet and have some speaking ability. I would perfer to learn conversationa l korean more than anything; however, learning how to read is probably just as important. I would like to dedicate four hours a week to my studies. The only real problem that I have is that my schedule changes weekly. If I had a tutor he/she would have to be flexible in that respect. I don't travel much so the only months I think I won't be available is March and August.

I know the alphabet. I'm familiar with very elementary grammar and very beginner vocabulary. I'm also familiar with the rhythm of the language and the phonology.
My interest in Farsi stems from my love for linguistics and foreign languages along with having close contact with Iranians over many years.
I need to steep myself in grammar, vocabulary and conversation.
I would like to spend a couple of hours weekly.
I like a somewhat laid back atmosphere, however I would like to be tested after learning things. A teacher who recognizes where I am mentally in the learning process is a plus. Sometimes I just don't learn things in the order that a text has chosen. Let's go with the flow and focus where my passions lie. We'll get back to that chapter a little later.
