I would say I am at the intermediate to lower level advanced level in my French. I spent a year abroad in France, living with a French family, and can communicate in almost any situation. The problem I have is my communication is not grammatically correct. I also am terrible at written French, which I think is effecting my oral French. I love the French language and want to continue to improve what I know and correct what I mess up. I would like to try and meet with a teacher anywhere from 2-3 times a week. I would like for my teacher to review grammer with me (I have my own books, and can basically work on my own, and would just need questions answered) and conversate with me. I just want my teacher to be fun yet challenging. Don't correct EVERY SINGLE word that comes out of my mouth ( I have been there and its a frusterating learning process). I prefer someone who can correct major mistakes and then the smaller ones as the bigger ones imrpove.

I am actually trying to learn a number of different languages, and any that are available to me. I am a native English speaker, and was AT ONE POINT fluent in French and Spanish. I was intermediate in German. It has been a long time since I've used any of the above, so I am basically coming into this scene as a beginner. I would love to learn Korean (which I have NEVER spoken), and Latin (which I have also never known). I would love to speak French again, and I've always wanted to know Japanese. Once I find someone who can teach me, I am ready to learn. I do not intend to tackle numerous languages at once, but I do believe I need a starting point. =]

Hello or Should I Say Bonjour,
I n High School I Took French 1 and 2.
I learned a lot from it but yet so little at the same time.
Readin g the language from what i remember and have been taught i do really well, but when it comes to listening and grammar parts i do not so well.
I need someone who is patient with me and makes me feel comfortable.
I feel the reason i didn't do so well in high school is my teacher made me and the other students feel dumb if we didn't get it right away and didn't take the time to let us actually LEARN.
I want to become proficient in many languages, because i think it is something everyone should do and i would like to travel around the world.

I am a beginner, but I do know a lot of the basics; weather, date, months, days, numbers, introductions . I plan on moving to france in a few years and have been meaning to learn the language fluidly for some time. I would like to dedicate as much time as possible. I do however hold down two jobs (photographer and sales associate), so a schedule would have to be worked out. In a teacher, I am looking for patience and flexibility. Also if this is your native language, I believe this would be best.
