I am a beginner in Japanese and study ocassionally on my leisure time. I first began getting interested in the language in my freshman year of high school after a friend introduced me to the music. I want to learn Japanese because I'd like to be able to communicate better with others.
Recently, we had a group of Japanese exchange students in our school, I would have liked to have spoken to them more without being so limited to what little I knew. As for what areas need improvement, pretty much all of them.
I'm willing to dedicate as much time as possible to learning language. I only work on the weekends so it leaves me alot of free time during the week to study and practice.
I want a teacher who is fun and easy going, also a large amount of patience is ideal too because I know I'll be making mistakes and asking tons of questions.

I know simple phrases and words, but have never had lessons.
I wish to learn Japanese to be able to communicate with my grandmother. Also, I shall be studying abroad in college and wish to attend a school in Japan for one year.
I will need a beginner course in all areas of my learning experience and am eager to learn.
I would like to dedicate my after school hours and possibly weekends if need be. I am very determined to master the language.
Wh en taking lessons I want the environment to be relaxing, but not to the point that I shall be tempted to allow my mind to wonder. Hopefully my teacher/tutor will converse with me on subjects we both have in common, to have a sort of friendship.

I am interested in learning Japanese along with other languages, as many as I could possibly learn and I am only a beginner at all. I am just learning other languages since it is a good skill to have. I would have to pay the most attention to conversation since this would be my weak point and i would dedicate as much of my free time as possible to make sure i get it right.
