I wish to learn portuguese because I will be conducting an internship in brazil starting in march 2006. I can read portugese because I know french, spanish and have a base in italian. However, do not speak portuguese nor I have I studied it before. I am interested in focusing on communication skills rather than grammar. My goal would be to understand portuguese and speak it reasonably well by March 2006. I am willing to dedicate the amount of hours necessary to achieve that objective. Therefore, I am looking for a teacher willing to engage in that challenge with me.

Hi! I already talk persian because my father is Iranian. However, I would like to have more vocabulary and know the grammar a little because I don't write or read persian. I could dedicate 3 or 4 hours a week to the lessons. It's not alot but I talk often so it's not a problem. I don't care if the lessons arelive or by e-mail. I just want to improve some little details.

I am French Canadian and I have always had a great interest in languages. Besides French and English languages, I master Spanish language as a mother tongue, as I lived for many years in Spain. I am also a professional in language field as I am a Spanish translator, technical writer and terminologist .
Catalan
I got to understand it perfectly (oral and written)when I lived in Cataluña and Andorra. However, as I left these regions twelve years ago, I have not had the opportunity to work on this language since then. But the main point is that during my stay in the Catalan regions, I never spoke catalan... and this is something I really want to do someday.
A rabic (Lebanese)
M y husband being Lebanese, I understand some words and expressions in this language. However, I really would like to speak it and understand (oral) it well. Therefore, I am interested in learning the Lebanese oral part of that language. The teacher should teach in Gatineau (Gatineau / Hull areas).
Ma ndarin
I developped a great interest for the Oriental cultures these last years. I really would like to know more and get closer to them. I understand the first and main way to do it is by learning their language. Going to China is a dream for my husband and me, but I never would go without knowing the language. Je reviens d'un voyage au Cambodge avec la ferme intention d'y retourner l'an prochain. J'aimerais d'ici ce nouveau départ, apprendre à parler khmer. La lecture et l'écriture de la langue serait aussi un atout, mais au départ mon intention est surtout de pouvoir engager et maintenir une conversation.
Je suis de niveau débutant mais je suis très motivée et compte mettre bien de efforts pour l'apprentissa ge de cette langue.
J'ai besoin pour cet apprentissage , de leçons structurées et de rigueur dans l'evolution de la matière enseignée.
L 'idéal serait des leçons privées mais je suis prête à considérer tout ce qui me sera proposé. Je suis aussi prête à me rendre jusqu'à Montréal de temps en temps si cela peu me permettre d'atteindre mon objectif.
