I am working for a government contractor here in Kuwait on US bases as a medic and while Im here would like to learn Arabic to better understand the culture and be able to speak with those I treat. I know only a handful of arabic words and would be a complete beginner, and would like to learn conversationa l arabic. If possible I would like to meet with a teacher either in person or via computer once or twice a week while Im here on contract. I could be in the country as long as 2 years but know I will be here for at least the next 12 months.

I understand a lot of arabic but I cannot speak it. I can read and write fine, and my goal is simply to be able to communicate with somebody verbally in Arabic. I am looking for someone who can do that within a month. I am willing to be tutored often in order to acquire my goal.
