im try to learn hindi because its one of the oldest and original tongues spoken plus most hindus speak it and it will make my life easier when comunicating. im a beginner, i prefer conversationa l skills but grammar is welcome also, in time frame i guess a few months with at least 2-3 visits per week, qualities on teacher ... I am corresponding with friends that live in India and will be moving there. I want to be able to have conversation in understanding and speaking Gujarati. I want this to come as a surprise to my friends and the language will also be beneficial when I move there for shopping, working, and living. I am not pushing to read the language, but most anxious to learn to speak and understand.
Evenings after 6:00 p.m. EST usually work best for me as I work full-time. I can discuss how much time to dedicate to the learning based on teacher recommendatio ns for what I want to accomplish, and the cost factor involved.
