I am a beginner, who has learned some basic words in Russian. I am married to a Russian and I would like to be able to share with him his culture and a good way of doing that is learning his native tongue. I am South American and my mother tongue is Spanish, my husband learned Spanish to be able to communicate with me in my own language so I would like to reciprocate. Therefore my interest is to improve my conversation skills. I am prepared to dedicate a couple of hours a week in class and some 5 to 7 hours a week to study, due to a hectic work schedule it would be impossible to commit to more than that.
I am looking for a teacher who puts emphasis in conversation, however rudimentary, but I feel that if you don't practice the language you are trying to learn, and focus only in the grammar, it is very difficult to learn to express yourself in that language.

I am Canadian born Chinese. My parents speak Toisan at home. I used to speak this very well when I was younger, but have lost almost all of it now. I always speak English. I barely speak to my parents and I would like to be able to speak to them again. But I would like to learn Cantonese to speak to people in restaurants or just Chinese people in general. It is very embarrassing for me to be Chinese and not to be able to speak the language.

I am very beginner Japanese speaker. I can read hiragana and katakana, but not kanji. I am looking for private lessons once or twice a week. I would like to be able to communicate efficiently in Japanese, and also learn the more casual Japanese language through conversationa l lessons.
