Hello,
I am a complete beginner, having never studied Farsi before, but I have had previous language training in French and Mandarin so I am familiar with foreign-langu age tuition methods and practices.
I intend to use my Farsi abilities to advance my career and intend to study Farsi until I am at the advanced level in both reading and speaking.
I am looking for a native-speaki ng teacher who is comfortable teaching both oral and written Farsi. I am tentatively thinking of one to two one hour sessions with the tutor each week, and plan on spending approx. one hour per day in private study; however this can be adjusted based on your requirements. I am willing to put as much time into my studies as necessary to advance me quickly into an intermediate proficiency and then build my range of skills from there.

Je suis un etudiant qui prend le français avancee pour 2 ans, dans l'Alliance Français de Chicago, et dans Lake View High School comme un sujet de classe. J'ai d'un assez bonne accent, mais j'n peut pas conjuger de bonne forme les verbes, d'autres mots...je besoin beaucoup d'aide avec le grammatique. I am at an intermediate level of Urdu. I have picked up some Urdu just from being around family (parents are fluent, but it is not their first language) and other cultural interactions. Also, I speak a dialect fluently so I do have a good amount of vocabulary. I am also able to read Urdu script, albeit slowly. I'm interested in learning Urdu formally, and specifically so that I can read philosophy, literature,po litical and legal texts. I would need the instructor to be well-read in Urdu literature himself/herse lf, and be able to break down grammar from a technical perspective. Also, the instructor should know English grammar very well.
