This is my second year studying French and I consider myself as intermediate. I studied french in high school and I went back to study it 2 years ago. I like the language but also I need to be able to analyse and study some documents written in french in order to complete my PhD.

Reason for learning: In order to complete my PhD, and to increase my career advancement. I like languages and like to be able to communicate to people in their languages.
I am willing to dedicate approximately 2-4 hours a week of class. I would like to improve in every area, specially in grammar and writting. I am not a good speaker in any language, so i would like to improve my pronuntiation .
The qualities I would like in a teacher is that he or she be knowledgeable in the French language and have patience with my pronunciation .

I am attending Columbia and this is my second arabic course with them, my teacher last year was amazing i learned alot from her she was a native speaker from Jordan. This year i am learning from a UChi grad student who really could care less if we learned anything.
Im learning arabic because id like to travel there, infact im planning on traveling there this summer.
I need alot of grammer help, i was never good in english grammer and now i am just completely lost in arabic.
i am willing to spend as much time as i need to learn this language properly and also.. i really dont want to fail a course!
i really want to learn from a native speaker. also someone who is creative and patient.
