This would be for my daughters and I, we are all 3 beginners. We would like to learn the language because my husband is Basque and his family live in the Basque country. I am a beginner , I have been to China and would like to go back someday and be able to understand the language more. The reason I want to learn more is for general interest and I'm thinking that 2 and 4 lessons a month might be good ?
When I was in China the locals I knew who spoke english had a hard time understanding how certain words or sayings could have a few different meanings depending on how they were expressed , I can't think of any off the top of my head right now but I remember explaining some .

My wife and I are beginners looking to learn Spanish because we just enrolled our child in a Spanish bilingual school. Our native tongue is English.
W e are looking for someone who would come to our home for two hours one night per week. We have a 5-year old, 3-year old and infant and coordinating to attend a school environment is too tough right now.

Looking to meet once a week for one hour to practise and improve conversationa l German. Small group would be nice... may be meet up for coffee and chat with each other but get corrected grammatically during the conversation.
Learnt German at high school in England (20 years ago) and really enjoyed it but didn't have anyone to speak it with so it faded.... taking German now through Athabasca University. Almost completed Germ 202 (Introduction to German) and loving it - again!
Rea son I'm taking it is because I want to be able to use it in a job or as I travel and meet German people.
