I have Egyptian friends, and attend the Coptic Orthodox Church, in which literature and sermons etc. are predominately in Arabic.
I am a beginner, I have a few words and numbers but not much at all.
I would like ideally to spend a couple of hours a week on lessons.

Proficiency level: beginner/ intermediate. I study Dutch as a VCE subject at VSL, after having taught myself for a year. I do okay, but I'm not very good at listening comprehension and pronunciation ; I'm also super shy!
I learn Dutch because I have a penpal in the Netherlands and I fell in love with the language after learning the basics. I love languages so.
Like I said, I need to improve in my listening comprehension and pronunciation . Also conversations ; I've never really been in that kind of situation, which requires things like fast thinking and just second-nature stuff.
I'd like to spend a face-to-face lesson at least once a week. Basically that's what I can afford, and if my parents let me, I'll do more. I'd prefer to study as much as possible, really. Immerse myself. So I want a really passionate teacher who isn't just there for the money.
