My husband and I have two daughters, ages 7 and 9, who speak Persian fluently as their 'father-langu age'. My husband has taught them the basics of writing and reading Persian, but due to lack of time on his part, we are now looking for a professional, enthusiastic teacher, who is willing to teach our girls grammar, reading and conversation in an engaging way. We are flexible in terms of timing, but probably 2 times per week after school would be suitable, or one of the lessons on a weekend. We live in south west London (not far from Roehampton University). Our daughters are fun and bright, and for the right person they will be a pleasure to teach. We look forward to your contact. I really waant to learn farsi because half of my family are iranian and it is really annoying not being able to understand, i only understand about 5-10 words thats it so i am a beginner, i just want to learn how to speak it right now then afterwards ill learn how to read and write, i would like to have one lesson a week i am seeking farsi lessons close to Watford, either in Hertfordshire , Or in Harrow, Or London.

I am a first-year Phd student of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at the University of Chicago and I am focusing on Ottoman and Safavid cultural relations in the 16th century.
I studied Persian for two and a half years years back when I was a masters student in Turkey and I want to develop my skills as much as I can in Tehran, in Summer 2010.
I want to develop my skills in all fields: Listening, Speaking, Writing and Reading, though I expect to be able to give an academic speech in Persian at the end of the course.
I need an intensive course of 1 to 1,5 month (2 hours per day, 5 days per week) and I am ready to spend all my evenings to study Persian during my stay in Tehran.
My teacher should be able to understand how I learn, and where I have most problems in. The fact that he/she will be willing to help me as much as he/she could would be more than helpful.
